What is RISE North Lynn?
RISE North Lynn is community led initiative offering all residents a platform to develop their talents, plan events, get involved and share their voice.
How RISE was Born
RISE North Lynn began its journey in early 2024, starting with a mixture of local stakeholders and Norfolk Constabulary in a joint effort to reduce crime and anti-social behavior, RISE bore some incredible projects and community events which all played a key part in reducing crime and anti-social behavior in the area. The outstanding success of projects with young people and community members highlighted the need for a continued, community led initiative which would see positive change become a staple of life in North Lynn for generations to come. The logo and name were created by community champion Ben Griffin with the help of young people who attended the Pizza Projects Youth Group at the Beacon Church. This joint effort produced the logo and name which not only gives a nod to the rich history of North Lynn, but also to inspire the ongoing community attitude towards turning the tides to positive change.

Reach - Reaching all members of the community by offering a platform that is led by them, for them. Allowing all residents the chance to make a change which is relevant to them.
Inspire - Allowing community members and professionals to inspire each other through collaboration, sharing success stories and developing a community where everyone feel valued.
Strengthen - Support members to achieve their full potential, offer opportunities for the community to come together, and plan events where young people, families and professionals can create community cohesion together.
Empower - Provide community members with the necessary skills and learning they need to steer the community of North Lynn to a brighter future.
Why the ship's wheel?
North Lynn & North End were built on the fishing communities and dockers of old, they helped shape the community and families that are still present today. The ships wheel helps us remember that rich history with the community at the heart, along with the 8 handles representing the key professionals helping steer the way.
